Russell - December 2003

Location:	Camp Russell (where else?)
Dates:	December 19-21, 2003
Who:	The scouts were Arjun A., Phil F., Matt I., Dean P., Jeremy R., Chris I., and an almost equal number of adults... John Ivory, John Koslosky, and Amer Amernath.

Our annual pilgrimage to Russell for the big winter weekend inside at the mess hall; another success!

It was a record setting winter for snow, and we took best advantage of it by enjoying some snow shoeing and cross country skiing. The weather was perfect, and we were far enough from the snow-mobile trails that we could enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.

As has also become our tradition, we ate like kings!

Eat, eat, eat... play Risk... eat, eat, eat... go outside for wood... have some snacks... play some card games... eat some more... you get the idea. This was reflected in our food bill; about $140!

Seriously though, it's easy to see why this has become one of the favorite trips for the scouts and adults alike. Lots of camaraderie and good times, combined in a nice scout atmosphere.
