This was the last big planned activity
for our 13 day trip.
This was excellent, and we're all
glad that we were able to add it to the list of things we did.
You could find parts the place that
definitely reminded you of
"The Rock" with Sean Connery. One can only
imagine just how horrible it must have been for the inmates stationed
here, especially when you see how small and start the quarters were.
We were fortunate to have Mr. Dooley
along. As a corrections officer, he was able to add all sorts of
insights into what prison life really is like, and helped us understand
some of the things we saw.
Some of our boys seemed much more at
home behind bars than others.
