We actually spent a fair amount of
time here. Who would have guessed that learning something could be so
much fun?
We walked out over the bridge to
about the first major tower, then went back around to view it from below.
The cirlce to the left is a cross section of one of the major cables (specs
are seen in the image above).

Out in the water were a number of sea
lions and wind surfers. They'd catch the breeze and waves and launch
themselves 10-20 feet in the air.
Mr. Cominsky proved to be a wealth of
information about the fort that was at the base of the bridge.
