Why?

There were so many different aspects to this trip.  Friendship.  Teamwork.  Challenge.  Adventure.  Below are leftover images from the thousands that were submitted that didn't easily fit into any of the existing categories.  They contain little lessons learned, or document something that was quirky in some way or another.  So, for your amusement and education, we offer the following remnants from the trip.

	Lesson You can fit a lot of food in a bear canister, and can do a pretty good of feeding yourself with modest equipment. The top photo on the left show the entire contents of a singe "bear canister", which contained all the food an individual needed for a 4-5 day hike in the wild.

Lesson People in California have strange and interesting hobbies.

	Lesson Some of us do a better job at making new friends than others.

Lesson We should never underestimate the hidden talents of others.

	Lesson Never cheat at Scrabble when playing against Brian.

Lesson It's probably a good idea to let some people keep their socks on when they come into your house.

	Lesson You don't need a college degree or fancy equipment to tell the weather.  A simple rock hanging from a chain works fine.

Lesson The guy in charge of doing these web pages has been working too hard lately, and is prone to an odd sense of humor.
