This is one of my favorite photos from Yosemite (first one below). To me it represents Brian growing towards independence and self reliance.

Before the trip Brian was undecided about his future, while in Yosemite I challenged Brian to think about his future and where he saw himself in the future. It was during the hike the Brian realized how much he loved the outdoors and decided a future in forestry or a related area was right for him.
