This was the trip of a life time for me. The Derrane family came together with our Troop 14 family to spend a great week in California. I am so happy Sarah and I were included in this adventure.

As a mom I was so very proud of my kids, (biological and others). They climbed mountains, hiked long distances, repelled off 25' cliffs and climbed up the same. When some wanted to quit others pushed them along, carried their bags or sat for a little break with them (thanks Mike).

B teams hikes were challenging for most of us and yet we all made it to the top to enjoy some great scenery together. I really enjoyed watching the kids play in the snow on the mountain side. I myself did not enjoy trekking my way through that same snow. We have a great group of young men and dads who made this trip a wonderful adventure.
