The best part
of the trip to Yosemite was just that, the trip to Yosemite. Unlike the
other scouts who flew to Yosemite my family got the opportunity to drive
across the country to reach our destination.
We encountered many amazing sights along the way, some expected and some
unexpected. Historic Route 66 was home to many of these sights. We sighted a
giant blue whale boat in a pond in Oklahoma, the Lincoln farm, and the
nations largest McDonalds. The best sights had to include the painted
desert, the inside of the grand canyon, and the many views offered by
Yosemite including the mountain lion.
If I had the opportunity to repeat this experience I would gladly sit in
the car for another 126 hours to hike 30 miles through the wilderness of
Yosemite.
